Humpty Dumpty sat on a wall.
Humpty Dumpty had a great fall.
All the king's horses,
and all the king's men,
Couldn't put Humpty back together again.
I can relate to poor ol' Humpty. You are traveling through life striving to seek God's will and walk with him on a daily basis. You feel the need to rest so you take a break...maybe to sit on a wall. All of a sudden, you find yourself falling off the wall into a pit (thanks Beth Moore for helping us to see our pits). However you got there at this point doesn't matter, you just need help getting out. Everyone seems to want to help (your friends, family, the king's men) but ulimately Humpty can't be put together again without the help of the greatest King of Kings--Jesus Christ our Lord.
Thank your Lord for reaching down to rescue us from our pits. I get goosebumps knowing that you delight in me---poor, pitiful, broken into pieces me. Your love amazes me every day.
