Have you ever had one of those days? You know the kind where your day starts off with a great beginning?
Yesterday morning (Thursday) I completed my quiet time and was headed out to my car looking forward to some breakfast from Chick-fil-a. YUM! Well, I noticed my tire was flat. Of course! At that point I wasn't too distressed.
I looked in my trunk for some fix-a-flat. NOPE!
Looked in the garage for some fix-a-flat. NOPE!
I began wondering how in the world I was going to get to work.
I called Stewart---on the train--no answer.
I called my neighbor Jill's husband--Chris---no answer.
I called my friend Lysa--no answer.
My two other neighbors weren't home.
I am standing in the front yard, eyes starting to overflow with tears when I hear someone putting out their trash in the back yard. I ran around the corner probably looking totally like a crazed woman. A woman was putting out her trash. By this time desperation had set in. I asked her if she could give me a ride to the train station. My guess is that she was afraid to say no for fear this crazed red-headed woman would totally lose it. She kindly agreed to take me to the station.
Here's the power of God.
*This woman (Carla) normally works morning hours but was going in later to her job for computer training.
*This woman normally doesn't take out the trash but she was checking to see if her husband had. And he hadn't. So she was taking out the recycling ---hence the sound of tin cans.
*This woman was a gift from God sent to me in my time of distress. The tin cans I heard were the sounds of angel's wings.
*Carla attended church where one of the other counselors in my office attends church.
This was definitely a GOD thing.
Praise you father for loving me and for taking care of my EVERY NEED!
Then they cried to the Lord in their trouble, and he saved them from their distress.
