November 2006 found me and my friend Jill and her daughter Grace doing a little garage sale bargain hunting. Grace is the cutest little thing (4 yrs old) and says anything that comes to her mind. We took my car and stopped at many sales, consequently getting in and out of the car many, many times. It wasn't until later when my husband and I were going somewhere later that day that he noticed the tiny fingerprints left on the car window. It was clear evidence that someone had been there---someone other than the normal passengers.
We know from the book of Genesis about creation. It tells us that God formed us. He fashioned us after his own image. Physical attributes can be telling about a person; red hair, body type, mannerisms, and even fingerprints. BUT what about our hearts? Would someone be able to see God's fingerprints on my heart? His stamp? Would my heart show God's love? Not the anger and bitterness that can build in our hearts causing love to be slowly squeezed out.
Lord,
I pray that everyday my life is such that people can see YOU. Thank you for the gift of eternal life. Thank you for your grace.
